Deep Ask · Frag mich

Datenschutz

English version below

Was auf deinem Gerät bleibt

Deep Ask · Ask me

Privacy

Deep Ask shows you questions for good conversations. The app needs no account, shows no ads and keeps your favourites and conversation rounds on your device only.

What stays on your device

Your favourites, the conversation rounds you create including their names, your settings and your answer to the statistics question are stored only within the app. They are never transmitted and are removed when you delete the app.

Usage statistics – only with your consent

On first launch the app asks whether it may send anonymous usage statistics via Google Analytics for Firebase. On iOS this happens through Apple's system prompt (App Tracking Transparency). Only if you agree are events such as turning a question card, sharing the app or sending feedback transmitted, together with general information on device, operating system, language and app version. The app creates no user identifier and does not use the advertising ID on Android. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time in your device settings or by clearing the app's data.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, it sends a crash report to Firebase Crashlytics: technical details such as device model, operating system, app version and the course of the error, but no content from the app. This helps us find and fix bugs. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a working app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Analytics and Crashlytics are operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. A transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. See Google's Privacy Policy and the Firebase privacy information.

Fonts

The app loads its fonts from Google Fonts when they are first shown. Google receives your device's IP address in the process, but no data from the app.

Feedback

The app contains a feedback form. Only when you submit it do we transmit your message, the chosen category and, if given, your rating together with operating system and app version to our database at Supabase (Supabase Inc.), hosted in the European Union. Supabase acts as our processor under Art. 28 GDPR. An email address is optional; if you enter one, we use it solely to reply to you. The legal basis is your consent by submitting (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We keep feedback for at most 24 months.

Rating and sharing

Ratings use the respective app store's feature, sharing uses your device's share sheet. The privacy policies of Apple or Google and of the app you share with apply. Deep Ask only learns that something was shared.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us at [email protected]. The controller is named in the box above.
